Maruti Sandwich - Food delivery App
Role : UI/UX Designer
Tool : Figma
The problem
Students and working professionals often look for quick, healthy lunch or dinner options while away from home, but limited time and the absence of a digital ordering option make it difficult to access their favorite local food. Despite Maruti Sandwich’s long-standing reputation and loyal customers, the lack of a mobile app creates friction in an increasingly convenience-driven, app-first food market.
The goal
The goal of the Maruti Sandwich app is to make ordering fresh, traditional sandwiches simple and convenient. By enabling easy browsing, quick ordering, and doorstep delivery, the app helps busy customers enjoy their trusted, healthy meals without compromising on taste or time.

User Research
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research was working people who don’t have time to cook meals in their busy schedule and are looking for healthy lunch/dinner at their workplace, and students who want traditional local food at their place and don’t like to stand in a long queue.
Research also revealed that time was not the only factor limiting users from cooking at home. Other user problems included obligations, interests, or challenges that make it difficult to get groceries for cooking or go to restaurants in-person.
